The South African Weather Services Durban office have now completed the move to the new King Shaka International Airport. The new telephone number for their office is 032 436 3816. The weather line is 082 162 and follow the prompts.

Annual General Meeting.

Updated statistics.

The 2009 statistics have been published on our site. The 2009 fire report is also available for the Midlands and NECF. We will update the members fire plan, cost structure and burning prohibitions as soon as they are available.

 

 

 

Fire season 2010.

2010 Has many challenges. We have come out of a fairly easy fire season in 2009. Climate change is the buzz word. El Nino has certainly affected areas of our country. Our message is simple: Be prepared for anything. Ensure that whatever you did in 2009 is continued. The weather will always be there. Conditions in our Province are definitely changing and before we wipe the !@#$$ out of our eyes we will be in the dry season. Good luck for the season.
